Bedeken Photos at Jewish Wedding

Long before I started doing any first looks, there were more traditional “first looks.” The first time Lauren saw Daniel on their wedding day was during her Bedeken. In Judaism, this means veiling, and it takes place shortly before the ceremony and truly is the first look between the couple on the day of their wedding. It’s a joyous ceremony, and it always produces some truly wonderful, emotional images.

I’ve had the good fortune to work with this family for many years since this image was captured in 2012.
