Down Town Club Wedding

Down Town Club weddings have an upscale Philly feel to them. One of my favorite things about weddings at the Down Town Club is that the building is located in the heart of Independence National Historical Park, and it’s one of my very favorite areas to shoot in. Not only can I make great wedding images there, but that location is spectacular for just about any photography. The combination of sensational architecture and beautiful green space with mature trees and landscaping make for simple, gorgeous background for my imagery. Brides and grooms are thrilled when they see what we can do with this location, and I also love to take my couples outside for a quick shot at night by Independence Hall. It’s one of the most iconic images in Philadelphia, and weddings at the Downtown Club provide my clients with many different iconic possibilities with their wedding photography.

This image of Amelia and Jake was made under city hall in Philadelphia during a Downtown Club wedding. We wanted a little something different in addition to the beautiful images in the park, so we detoured up a few blocks to spend some time making some more dramatic wedding portraiture.

Whenever I have a chance to shoot such a fantastic couple in such diverse locations, I’m thrilled when I produce results like this for my clients. This allows me to provide an eclectic mix for my brides and grooms, and the album design benefits a great deal from such diversity!
