Jersey City Hyatt Wedding

If you're having a wedding in New Jersey, I'm not sure if there's any more spectacular view of the New York City skyline than the view from the Jersey City Hyatt Hotel. Whether your actual wedding is taking place at the Jersey City Hyatt or you decide to get ready there, you can't go wrong when you stay at the Jersey City Hyatt Hotel.

The Hudson River view across the water to the skyline is breathtaking at any time of day. I really like the rooms in these hotels. I especially like the suites where brides get ready because the drapes in these hotel rooms allow the light to come into the room beautifully.

This bride had her wedding at the Liberty House Restaurant. After we completed the bridal preparation process inside the hotel, we did the first look on the veranda on the side of the hotel, with the Manhattan skyline in the background.

I really enjoy beginning the wedding day by having brides interact with bridesmaids, mothers, grandmothers, or whoever is close to the bride. The goal is to set the stage for moments to take place, but I do not stage the moments.

Here, I asked our bride to place herself in great light. She had to mess around with the gown anyway, so why not have her do it in nice light. It's a great way to make organic wedding photos, and I would much rather have her interact naturally without posing her. I prefer to have the bride act spontaneously rather than to have me tell her exactly what to do.
