Whenever I have the opportunity to shoot a Knowlton Mansion Wedding, I’m always enamored with the bridal suite area. This 19th century Victorian mansion is rich in history. The building was designed by world renown architect, Frank Furness, and he designed it in exquisite fashion. The catering is done by Conroy Catering, and I can personally say that they do a fabulous job. weddings at Knowlton Mansion are quite easy from a photographic perspective, because there are so many lovely photographic opportunities to shoot.
Sprawling, beautifully landscaped grounds, lovely interior design, and a cool, modern ballroom allows a wedding at Knowlton Mansion to have the best of old and new worlds. This image, taken while I was shooting a lens campaign for the Nikon corporation, was taken with my Nikon D850 and my Nikkor 24-70 VR lens. It’s stunning sharpness edge to edge, and it’s lack of distortion are perfect for a shot like this. I truly love the light this room provides me, and it’s one of my favorite areas to shoot wedding preparation with my brides. Knowlton Mansion weddings can service up to 250 guests. They have onsite parking, and a fantastic area for outdoor ceremonies. The cocktail area is also beautiful, and it’s held outside on their patio which is impeccably landscaped. I look forward to each and every wedding I have the opportunity to shoot there, and I can’t wait to shoot there again. I really love the feel of this image, and the light placed on their faces. It’s one of the many reasons I enjoy shooting there.
