As studio manager, I don’t always get to meet the couples whose images I undertake a great amount of time to keenly process. More often than not, my exchange is through email. Pre-pandemic, I would greet a handful of clients a month in the Haddonfield, NJ studio to discuss the album process, review galleries and help in the cover materials selections. I always get excited to meet clients and who wouldn’t when you’ve spent countless hours staring at their faces?! I had the privilege of meeting Diana and working with her directly on her wedding album and can honestly say she is one of the sweetest and most genuine people out there! Given that my introduction to clients is in the form of still photographs, I often wonder how about their personalities and getting to know them in person. Hands down, these photographs capture Diana’s personality exactly, from her bubbly demeanor, beaming smile and infectious laugh!

Diana and Scott married in East Norwich, NY at the Muttontown Country Club, which pulled double duty for both their ceremony and reception. Situated in Oyster Bay, along the coast of Long Island, the club’s well manicured grounds, dotted with established trees, is sun soaked and perfect for Diana and Scott’s outdoor nuptials. The coffered ceilings in The Ballroom reflected the golden and pink champagne tones selected for the evening and only enhanced the warmth and splendor of the reception. While Scott’s mother had passed prior to the wedding, both he and Diana made sure she was well represented in photos throughout their venue. I always find it bittersweet to see how couples pay homage to their loved ones on such a special day.

Of the many images from the day, one of the more poignant was of Diana and her expectant maid of honor. The sweetness captured between the two, Diana’s hand resting on the belly of her friend, was so touching.
