Weddings at the Kimmel Center

When Ali first contacted me about her Kimmel Center wedding, I knew we’d be a good fit. She preferred not to see her future husband before the ceremony. I never try to persuade my clients to do something they don’t want to do.

It was my job to make sure we made some gorgeous portraits, regardless of the time I had to make them. So, we collaborated, built a reasonable timeline, and accomplished all that was important to her. Weddings at the Kimmel Center are catered by the Garces Catering group. Jose Garces, the famed iron chef, is the principal partner in that group. Their food is spectacular, and their service is just as excellent.

When choosing to have your wedding at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, you’ll be choosing to have your wedding in a world-class broadway, music, and art house. Some of the finest performers in the world have graced their stage. Located on the heart of South Broad Street, otherwise known as the Avenue of the Arts, The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts is named after its largest benefactor, Sidney Kimmel. My former colleague, Inga Saffron, the architecture critic for the Philadelphia Inquirer, called the Kimmel Center a "bold, new treasure." This is one reason many of my brides choose to have a Kimmel Center Wedding.

This image, taken after the ceremony, was taken with my D4S, and my settings were 1/80th F1.8 @ ISO 1600. We were able to use the gorgeous background in the Kimmel Center for a dramatic portrait.

Location: 300 South Broad Street Philadelphia, PA 19102.
