Loews Philadelphia Wedding Photography

Many of the weddings I shoot are Philadelphia weddings, and brides and grooms love when I can capture them with the Philadelphia city views. In this photo, we’re able to juxtapose the bride and groom with the Liberty Place towers, an iconic view from the 33rd floor of the Loews Philadelphia Hotel.

Shortly after the wedding ceremony in the Millennium ballroom, I created this photograph on the 33rd floor at sunset. It was important to make sure that the composition was just right; I needed the couple’s profile against the brighter parts of the image to be a proper silhouette. I also needed to stay very low to the ground while shooting, and I kept my distance from the subjects so I could use a long lens to compress the image to use the background in the best way possible.

This image is often used to promote Loews Hotel Philadelphia weddings for the venue since it shows off a key feature of the building: the view of the Philly skyline!

I really love this venue. It has some beautiful guest rooms, and it’s home to the fastest damn elevators of any hotel I’ve ever seen. I also like it because it’s really close the Reading Terminal Market which has some of the best food imaginable.

Location: 1200 Market St, Philadelphia, PA 19107.
