Studio Photographer in HADDONFIELD

South Jersey Portrait and Headshot Studio

Cliff Mautner Photography operates out of an historic building in the borough of Haddonfield, New Jersey. The location is easily accessible to clients in South Jersey, the City of Philadelphia, and its suburbs.

The 2,000 square foot studio is designed to create excellent headshots and portraits, as well as be a comfortable meeting space for wedding and event clients. Prints and enlargements line the walls, and wedding and portrait albums are available to browse through in the lounge area.

In 2006, I bought and renovated this old church into what is now a beautiful portrait studio with a 13x30 foot exposed brick wall, hardwood floors, ample natural light, and a track lighting system for complete photographic control. I have an assortment of backgrounds and lighting techniques to provide you with a wide variety of imagery without even leaving the studio.

The History of the Studio

The building was initially a Baptist church built in the late 1920s and later became a print shop until it was purchased in 1960 and turned into a dance studio by one of the original Radio City Music Hall Rockettes. It remained a dance studio for 45 years until I purchased it.

Renovating from a dance studio to a state-of-the-art photo and video production studio took 9 months, with help from architectural, design, and construction professionals. We cut out two large windows to let in sunlight and added the repurposed brick wall. Check out this video of the process.

Over the years, the studio has been used to host my wedding photography bootcamps which have brought approximately 1000 students across 42 countries. Video production companies large and small occasionally rent the space to record interviews— networks such as CNN, The History Channel, and The Learning Channel have filmed here, as well as a handful of smaller, independent filmmakers.

Getting to Haddonfield

Just 15 minutes from Philadelphia via the Ben Franklin Bridge, I am easily accessible to both Philadelphia and South Jersey, and under an hour from the Jersey Shore. By car, Manhattan is a 90-minute drive, Wilmington is 45 minutes, and it's about an hour from most of the Chester County suburbs. The studio has convenient, off-street parking in a private lot, so leave the quarters at home.

When You Are Here
